AI-Powered Support for International Students

That's the challenge Happy Student wanted to solve, how to make life easier for international students navigating the exciting but sometimes daunting experience of studying abroad. But their existing app had a few hurdles to overcome:

- Happy Student had tons of helpful advice for international students, but it was like searching for a needle in a haystack. Students needed a more intuitive way to find the information relevant to their needs.

- The app was iOS only so all the students on Android were missing out.

- The team were having to manually update deals and offers, which was a real headache. And let's be honest, no student wants to get excited about a discount only to find out it's expired!

- Happy Student had no way of knowing what advice students were actually interested in, or even if they were using the app after downloading it. Talk about flying blind!

We teamed up with Happy Student and their design team to give their app a serious upgrade, focusing on key areas:

- We implemented an AI chat powered by their advice content.  It’s like having a personal assistant for international students. Got a question about visas, accommodation, or who to get a doctor? Just ask!

- We created an "Actions" system that guides students through essential tasks with clear, actionable steps. Need to open a bank account, set up your electricity, or get an Oyster card? Happy Student has you covered.

- Say goodbye to manual updates and hello to happy students! By integrating the Awin API, deals and offers are now automatically updated in Happy Student's CMS.

- We strategically integrated analytics to give Happy Student valuable insights into user behaviour. Now, they can see which advice is most popular, identify knowledge gaps, and continuously improve the app.

- Launched the latest version on Android has been launched, creating balance in the world.
